Laura Hardy’s Open Letter to West Michigan
Hello, my name is Laura Hardy and I'm the new co-host of the Big Joe Show on Mix 95.7.
I recently moved to West Michigan from the bluegrass state, trading my bourbon for the beer city. Although don’t worry, I won’t put a big dent in your supply, I quit drinking almost two years ago.
I'm originally from a small town called Georgetown. You've probably never heard of it, but we're the home of Bourbon Whiskey and more recently the home of where most of the Toyota Camrys you find on the road are made.
Why Did You Move To Grand Rapids?
Before moving to Kent County, I was a lifelong Kentucky native, and this is my first time living outside of horse country.
I spent several weeks here last summer visiting friends, and realized that Michigan had everything my heart desired.
Tons of Golf Courses, lake beaches with amazing sunsets, and friendly faces. It was like an improved version of my home state, and I knew it was a place I'd love to call home.
I'm not new to radio: In Louisville, I hosted my own morning show on 1077 The Eagle. I had a lot of fun on my own, but I was ready to do something bigger.
And let's be honest, who has more fun and a better personality than Big Joe? So joining the team at Mix was the perfect fit.
I was also ready for a new adventure, and ready to live somewhere I'm passionate about. West Michigan is a perfect place to start the next chapter of my life, and I'm excited to start that chapter with Mix 95.7 and YOU!
