Snow is on the way, and who doesn't like sledding?

Here's a list of where you'll find the best sledding in New Jersey.

Mountain Creek  200 Route 94, Vernon, Sussex County

This is a great spot for family fun in the snow.

They offer skiing and snowboarding in addition to awesome snow-tubing.

They offer 30 lanes over a 5-acre course.

Tubers must be at least 5 years old.  It's worth the day trip.

Thompson Park  Lincroft

Grab your cross-country skis and spend the day exploring the beautiful trails in Thompson Park.

Equipment rentals are available.  Call them in advance for current conditions.

For those in South Jersey, there are fewer resort-type areas, but our sources have told us there are still plenty of local spots where weather permitting, you can have quite a bit of fun.

Bunker Hill Road 

Located in Cherry Hill, families with younger kids love this place.  Its a huge basin and kids can slide down from any direction.  Lots of laughs here.

Egg Harbor Township Nature Reserve

Looking for a place to sled in Egg Harbor Township in Atlantic County?

The Nature Reserve is a 440-acre park with lots of areas to sled, cross-country ski, or just goof around in the snow.

Sledding in Atlantic County is easy to get to with parking at 318 Zion Road.

Holmdel Park    44 Longstreet Road, Holmdel

The Holmdel Park Sled Hill is open until 9 p.m.  Great place for younger families.
