From Oklahoma to Twin Falls, New Host On KEZJ Morning Show Introduced
Howdy Twin Falls. It is a joy to finally be introduced to you all and I look forward to meeting you and becoming embedded in the community. It has been a long curvy road to get here, and I am excited to be a part of KEZJ and to hit your airwaves every morning. I hope you will join my family as much as I look forward to becoming a part of yours. Let's get to know each other.
Background
I am born and raised in Edmond, Oklahoma, a town just north of Oklahoma City. My dad is from a small town in Oklahoma and my mom is from a farm town in Kansas. I am a good balance of country boy, having spent time on the farm, as well as a city slicker from being so close to Oklahoma City. Twin Falls feels like Edmond, with the only real difference being it isn't next to a city. Some of the smells are even familiar.
Family
The most important thing to me in my life is my family. I am blessed with 2 of the sweetest most adorable boys. My oldest is 5 and my youngest is currently 4 1/2 months. My wife and I will celebrate our 9th anniversary in January and met online 11 years ago (yes, online dating can work). We have a dog that is 7 years old and has been through more than any dog should go through, but she is happy and very approachable. We also own a mini zoo. We have 1 fish, 1 water frog, 3 tree frogs, a gecko, a lizard, 2 hermit crabs, 2 water snails and still adding to the family.
Likes and Dislikes
I am a diehard sports fan. I will talk sports with anyone, anytime. It doesn't matter what sport either; I watch and talk it all. If you see me around town and love sports, let's talk. My teams are anything Oklahoma University (OU), OKC Thunder, Dallas Cowboys, and the Boston Red Sox. I love movies. I have more than I know what to do with. The only thing I don't watch is horror. I hate being scared, and I'll admit it: I am a big baby. If you like disc golf and ever see me on a course, join me. We love to be outdoors and are getting into kayaking.
Things I do not like is driving. I hate it. I get impatient and anxious about getting to my location. I hate spiders with a passion. If you try to throw one on me, our friendship ends there. I do not like reality shows. I can not stand what celebrities are doing, I can't even keep up with my life half the time.
Now that you know a little about me, let me get to know you. Say hi if you see me and my family out. Play a game of disc golf with me or talk sports with me. I moved to Twin Falls, not to just be a member of society, but because I want to be embedded in this community and for us to be family. Let's do this!
