A Look Back at Seven Years of Brain & Courtlin on KHAK [GALLERY]

Can you believe it's been SEVEN years???

November 10th is a very special day for me. Back in 2014, it was the very first day I joined Brain on KHAK, which means that it's the seven year anniversary of Brain & Courtlin in the Morning! Brain has never worked with a cohost for more than seven years, so let's hope I'm able to break the cycle by making it to 2022.

Over the course of the last seven years, Brain and I have had a blast doing all sorts of weird stuff. There was the time we yodeled at a local Walmart, the St. Patrick's Day where we dressed up as leprechauns and handed out Skittles downtown, the Christmas where Brain wore an Elf costume and reenacted movie scenes at Lindale Mall, and all the times we dressed up for Halloween and did fun little photo shoots. I'm just now realizing that we dress up in costumes quite a bit...

On a more serious note, I consider myself extremely lucky to have found a home here in Cedar Rapids with an amazing country music community and a cohost that I consider to be one of my very best friends. When I first moved here, I had absolutely no idea that I would end up staying this long, but I'm so glad I have. Despite what many people think, radio isn't always the easiest business to get into, so I feel very blessed to be in the position I'm in. Iowa really has become my home.
